The next Guild meeting will be this Saturday, May 20, beginning at 2:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Powers residence.
We’re back to a members house, so please remember to bring more food than you can eat and more beer than you can drink to share with the group.
In order to make room for the barleywine filling on Saturday, we’ll need to empty the imperial stout out of it. The BOD has decided that in order for this to go as smoothly as possible, we’ll be emptying the barrel on Friday evening into kegs, which can then be bottled after carbonation. Bill Powers has graciously offered to allow participants in the imperial stout barrel to fill their kegs Friday evening, so please show to his house at about 7:00 PM to fill your kegs. If you can not make that day/time, please reach out to Bill directly to find a time to drop off your keg. If you do not have a keg to fill, please let me know and we’ll put a call out to the membership in order to arrange to borrow one.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR STOUT IN KEGS OR IF YOU PLAN TO BOTTLE OFF THE KEG. The club will provide bottles and labels for those who wish to bottle, but we need to know how many people need them.
If you brewed a barleywine to put in the barrel, please bring it to the meeting Saturday. If you can not make the meeting, please work with Bill directly to find an acceptable time to drop off your batch.
Nominations have begun for our June elections. We have five positions open: President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, Activities Director, and Membership Director. Volunteers help to make this club run, so I encourage anyone who may want to help out to nominate themselves, or talk with a current officer.
